Rachel has been an educator in the arts for almost a decade. After graduating with her BFA in Art Education from the University of Illinois, she taught art classes from ceramics to painting in the Midwest state. Craving a change in pace and location, Rachel moved to Berkeley in 2007 to pursue her MFA in Photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Five years later, she is teaching alternative processes at her alma mater, while also teaching digital photography at a local high school. Her personal work exhibits nationally and hugs the line between the fine art and commercial worlds. She loves living in Oakland with her husband, and their hound dog, Winston.
